Arius tree is a tropical tree and sometimes is called the Batanes pine,is abundant in Batanes.These Arius tree is usually find grown in houses,lawn of offices,churches,and even in schools that is use as ornamentals that gives beauty for landscape gardens.
The tree bears fruits which turns to violet-black when it is already ripe.Due to its abundance,the fruits just fall down,and scatter on the grounds.
As one of the best product of the Batanes State College,the arius fruits can make as wine,pastillas,jam,jelly,and arius tea.This arius fruits having a good potential for livelihood which .
can generate income.The Batanes State College import the Arius product on other country
